Can I ship an over-sized auto?
Of course! If your auto is bigger than any standard auto, it is imperative that you inform the company that is shipping your auto so they can secure an appropriate mode of shipment. If you’re auto has any modifications that affect the overall size or weight, mark that down and let the company know ahead of time. This is important because if you do not tell the shipping company about your 4-inch lift kit (which makes it impossible to ship on a standard 10-car carrier), you will be charged more money because you misrepresented your auto.

Auto Shipper Quote

An auto shipper quote is a quote given to a customer by an auto shipping company. Typically these quotes are given by auto ship ship brokerages, which are companies that setup ship between customers and carriers. Quotes can be given by ship brokerages, which are the most common types of auto shippers; however, some customers go beyond and can get quotes from different carriers that they find online. An auto shipper quote can vary widely depending on the type of auto shipper (carrier or ship broker); ship brokers keep prices low, while carriers tend to have higher prices because they are reliant on the loads they ship for income.

Auto Carrier Rate

auto carrier rates are simply the costs that carriers charge for shipping autos from one location to the next. The auto ship industry, as well as any auto carrier rate, is based almost solely on routes; truck drivers have many expenses to pay, so they charge customers or ship brokerages based on their expenses they accrue during the ship on a given route. Fuel is usually the most expensive expense that an auto carrier will have during transit, so they price their routes based on how far they are. Typically, shorter routes cost less money, as well as any routes to or from big cities. This is because there are many more customers in big cities, which means more loads for drivers; this, in turn, causes the auto carrier rate to go down because they don’t have to go so far to find their next load. Likewise, rates are cheaper between cities that have a short distance between them because the travel time and the expenses are much lower.

Auto shipper Rate

An auto shipper rate is simply the cost of shipping a auto. Most auto shippers are auto ship ship brokerages, who setup ship – they handle all the details of your auto shipment and arrange ship with the actual carrier, who will ship your auto for you. Auto shipper rates vary depending on the pickup and delivery locations as well as the time of year, because prices for auto shipping are mostly route-based. Auto shippers base their prices on how much fuel costs in relation to the route they are on, and as such prices vary accordingly.

Auto ship broker Company

An auto ship broker company is a company that specializes in auto ship; specifically, setting up ship for customers who want to ship their autos. Auto ship broker companies deal with the auto carriers so customers don’t have to; they facilitate the shipping process by providing all the shipping information to the carriers and organizing the ship. Auto ship broker companies dispatch the autos to carriers in the vehicles’ area and make sure that the carrier actually delivers the auto. An auto ship broker company usually charges a percentage of the total ship price as their commission – they need to make money too! However, they also make sure that the carrier gets paid if the customer pre-paid for their shipment; otherwise, most shipments that auto ship broker companies oversee are paid via cash on delivery.

Auto shipper Service

An auto shipper service is what an auto shipper actually provides, which is shipping autos. Auto shippers are different from auto ship brokerages in the sense that they actually ship the auto as opposed to set up the ship thereof. They are the company that will actually be shipping the auto. Part of the auto shipper service is communication – when you setup your ship, your auto shipper will let you know where they can pick up the auto – some cities or towns have restrictions as to where large trucks can travel, so sometimes they will ask you to meet them in a large parking lot on the outskirts of the town if that is the case.

Auto shipper Service

auto shipper service is what an auto shipper actually does and the service they provide. There are two types of auto shippers, ship brokers and carriers. Ship brokers are the ones that will arrange your ship, give you an auto shipping quote, and coordinate your ship with the carrier. Auto shipper ship brokerages take a small deposit prior to ship (that’s how they stay in business), while the actual auto shipper, or carrier, will be the one to ship your auto from the pickup location to the delivery location. If you have any questions about your auto ship, be sure to ask the company that is shipping your auto.

Auto ship broker

An auto ship broker is a company that organizes and arranges shipment for autos. Typically, an auto ship broker handles all the money as well as sets up ship of a auto between the customer and the carrier that is chosen. Auto ship brokers find out the exact addresses that the auto is coming from and going to, as well as handle any transactions that need to take place. They keep in contact with the carrier during the shipment process and keep the customer informed of where the auto is and when it will be arriving. Auto ship brokers are an incredibly important part of the auto shipping industry; they keep the prices fair and prevent price-gouging by carriers because there are so many auto ship brokers in the industry. Competition is fierce, which keeps prices as low as they can be. If you’re looking to ship your auto, check out some auto ship brokers – they’ll help you with anything you need.

Auto shipper Quote

An auto shipper quote is exactly what it sounds like – a quote from an auto shipper company. Most auto shipper quotes actually come from the drivers themselves, who are contacted to pickup and deliver autos for ship brokerages. Auto shipper quotes are mostly given to ship brokerages themselves as opposed to customers, and many auto shipper quotes to customers are higher than they are to ship brokerages because they are given by companies who typically don’t get freight from ship brokers. This makes it more difficult to get freight to ship, and as such the prices tend to increase for companies who don’t take loads from ship brokers.

Auto ship broker Rate

auto ship broker rates are the prices that you pay for shipping your auto. These are determined by several different factors including the size of the auto, the pickup and destination locations, and the distance between the two. Shipping something like a Ford F-350 Super Duty will cost much more than something like a Toyota Corolla simply because it’s larger and more difficult to fit onto a truck – in special instances the rates can go up even more if the auto is severely oversized. Auto ship broker rates also depend on the pickup and destination cities – shipping from a larger city tends to be easier and cheaper because there are more trucks in that area. If the city you are shipping from or to is smaller, fewer trucks tend to run that way, which can raise the auto ship broker rate. Another major determining factor in auto ship broker rates is the distance between the pickup and destination cities. If the cities are closer together the rate will be cheaper because less fuel is expended getting from point to point. If they are farther apart, the auto ship broker rate will go up because the driver has more expenses during the trip.

Auto Carrier Quote

An auto carrier quote is a quote that a customer receives from an auto carrier or an auto carrier company. These are actually fairly rare in the auto ship industry as most quotes are given by auto ship brokers and not carriers. Carriers will give their shipment prices to the ship broker, or ask for more money if it is a difficult or long route, but most customers don’t normally talk about money with auto carriers. There are rare instances where auto carriers give their own quotes to customers; this often happens when a customer comes across an auto carrier company on the internet. Many times, auto carrier quotes are higher than one for the same route from an auto ship ship brokerage, mainly because the truck driver is interested in getting as much money as he can; this is why auto ship brokerages are used much more frequently, because it keeps the prices low.

Auto shipper Rate

An auto shipper rate is the rate given by any auto shipper company to ship a auto. Prices depend on several factors including the length of the route, the location of the route (what areas of the United States the route travels through) and the season of shipment. Typically, auto shipper rates go up during the summer months because they can pick and choose which shipments to pick up, so they take the most expensive ones; during the winter months, however, people do not ship as much so they take loads for less money.

Auto Carrier

An auto carrier is the actual truck driver; they’re the ones that will be actually shipping a auto. Auto carriers are different from auto ship brokers or auto ship broker companies because they don’t arrange the shipping, they actually ship the auto. Typically auto carriers ship autos on open, ten auto auto carriers – the very same that carry new autos to dealerships. Auto carriers use auto ship brokers mainly for ease of scheduling – most pickups are scheduled days in advance, and auto carriers often have full loads to ship around the country. Auto carriers also make sure that the autos are fully insured – most auto carriers carry $750,000 worth of insurance as mandated by the federal government, but some like to go above and beyond and insure their trucks for upwards of $1 million. This ensures that even incredibly expensive autos will be covered by their insurance. If you have any questions about your auto carrier, talk to your representative at your auto ship ship brokerage.

Auto Mover

an auto mover can refer to one of two different services: either a broker or a carrier. technically, an auto mover would be a carrier, because they actually move your automobile; however, most carriers utilize brokerages to find vehicles to move, because brokerages number in the thousands and the vast majority of customers looking to ship their vehicles use brokerages. auto movers specialize in moving vehicles, however, so if you contract with a brokerage you’ll still be using a carrier no matter what.  read article...
